Kids who were in Grades K - 6 in the 2009-2010 school year are eligible for the Book It Summer Break Reading Challenge Sweepstakes. They read five books from June 15 - Aug. 15, complete THIS FORM and mail it in by Aug. 23 to be eligible for the prize package sweepstakes. Full details HERE.
Don't forget to check with your local libraries. Many of them run summer reading programs to encourage kids to read while out of school. Are there kids who need to be encouraged? Mine devour books. Yay! Back to what I was saying ... our summer reading programs kick off next week. Over the years, my boys have received countless trinkets and stickers, free meals at local restaurants and Cardinals tickets from our library for reading. Rewarding kids for doing something great? I'm all in!
