Pretty good trip to CVS this week:

*I bought this to use a coupon for $5 off Olay body wash when you buy any Secret. I could have bought a travel size Secret and qualified to use the coupon, but my CVS was out of the travel size.

-Cold Buster Warming Syrup, $8.99, received $8.99 ECB

-Lumene Vitamin-C cream on B1G1/2 sale, $3.79 for the first and $1.89 for the second

Do you Groupon? I do and I L.O.V.E. Groupon! Each day they have a new deal. We have bought Groupons for places we love (Magic House or bowling at a deep discount) and Groupons to try out new places/products.

Today's deal is $20 for a $40 worth of products at The Body Shop and you can buy two. Yay! Think Christmas gifts. This Groupon's details are that you can buy two, but can only use one per visit and must use the entire value in one visit, no change given if you don't. It is good on sale items (yay!), is good in store only, and doesn't expire until Feb. 25, 2011.

And for STL crafters, today's sidekick deal is $8 for $20 worth of products at The Ink Spot. Stop the bus! You local friends know I was all over that one! lol Unfortunately you can only buy one of those, but you can buy two for gifts. It doesn't expire until April, but is not good on sale items. You also have to use the whole value in one visit (like that's a problem).

CVS

CVS has a lovely red machine right inside the door. Scan your CVS card and it will spit out a few coupons for you. It's a bit of gamble as you have no advance notice (or choice) as to what will come out. Some are good for a couple of weeks, some are 'today only'. Last week summer items were on clearance, so I popped into CVS looking for a grill basket. My CVS was sold out of summer clearance items, but I hit the CVS coupon machine to see what goodies it had for me. One of my coupons was $2 off Extra laundry detergent....which was on sale for $2. So, no grill basket, but FREE laundry detergent. Not bad for just walking in the store.

My only complaint about the lovely CVS coupon machine? I wish it would show your coupons on the screen and give you the option to print or pass. Of the five coupons it printed for me, four were 'today only' and I only used the one. The rest were merely wasted paper. :-(

Target Deals

Target has Tag reader books on sale for $10 this week. There was a $4 coupon in Sunday's Parade or you may find one online. Toddler Diva got the reader for Christmas, so I was happy to pick up two more books for just $6 each.

While at my Target (Bluffs for locals), I checked out Christmas clearance. 90% off! My store had just half an aisle or so left at the veeeeery back of the store. We found boxes of 24 candy canes for 24 cents....and bought 6 to hold us over until they're available again. There were still lots left for you locals. I also bought the sets of solid colored glass balls to make wreaths for next year. The sets were priced at $1 for the big ones and 25 cents for a dozen? of the golf ball sized balls. In case you're curious, I'm planning to make wreaths that will look something like THIS WREATH. My Target has lots of ornament packs, candy canes, tree stands, and cards left.
