Birthday goodies

There are a number of companies that offer goodies for adults on their birthdays. YAY for fun stuff for grown ups. Most of them are vague on what the goodie will be, but this is what I received this month. Keep in mind your mileage may vary. Some discounts are good for the entire month, some for just one or two weeks so check those dates carefully.

AMuse stamps -- 10% off any purchase in store (Seattle) or online

Brylane Home -- 25% off highest priced item in next order

Cold Stone Creamery -- coupon for a free Creation -- 15% off next order

Dairy Queen -- coupon for a free Mini or 12 oz or 16 oz Blizzard with purchase of a 16 oz. Blizzard

Disney Movie Rewards -- 100 bonus points

elf -- free mini set with $10 purchase

Fazoli's -- coupon for a free dessert

First Watch -- coupon for a free entree

Macaroni Grill -- free piece of chocolate cake -- $5 GC

Maggie Moo's -- coupon for a free kid cone

Mimi's Cafe -- coupon for $10 off a $20+ purchase

O'Charleys -- coupon for $5 off a $20 min. purchase *They often have 2 for $15 meals and kids eat free so this makes a cheap night out for the family.

Old Navy -- coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase *You'll get a similar offer when you sign up for their emails, so if your birthday isn't for a while you can spread your deals out.

Orange Julius -- coupon for a free 16 oz. Julius

Qdoba -- BOGO coupon

Red Robin -- coupon for a free burger with entree purchase

Sephora -- gift this month was a silver eyeshadow, silvery-green eye liner and a volumizing mascara You can redeem this one online or in store, but not in Sephora inside JcPs.

Sonic -- coupon for free tots, CreamSlush or drink

Souplantation & Sweet Tomatoes -- BOGO coupon

Starbucks -- coupon for a free drink *I can't remember, but I think you had to register a GC to qualify for this one. I'm an addict, so that was no problem. I've been a member a looooooong time, but I think it was GC required.

Swagbucks -- 50 bonus bucks *I explained Swagbucks HERE, but the point values have changed. Prizes 'cost' more, but more points are awarded at one time so it evens out. Amazon gift cards are still my favorite reward.

Texas Roadhouse -- coupon for free appetizer or sidekick of ribs with purchase of an entree

The Melting Pot -- coupon for a Chocolate Fondue for Two with purchase of Big Night Out or two entrees and cheese fondue

I've also heard free entree at PF Changs and free Grand Slam at Denny's. Any others?

CVS has a lovely red machine right inside the door. Scan your CVS card and it will spit out a few coupons for you. It's a bit of gamble as you have no advance notice (or choice) as to what will come out. Some are good for a couple of weeks, some are 'today only'. Last week summer items were on clearance, so I popped into CVS looking for a grill basket. My CVS was sold out of summer clearance items, but I hit the CVS coupon machine to see what goodies it had for me. One of my coupons was $2 off Extra laundry detergent....which was on sale for $2. So, no grill basket, but FREE laundry detergent. Not bad for just walking in the store.

My only complaint about the lovely CVS coupon machine? I wish it would show your coupons on the screen and give you the option to print or pass. Of the five coupons it printed for me, four were 'today only' and I only used the one. The rest were merely wasted paper. :-(
